Chair 14 was made in 1859 in a small family business in germany to meet anna daum's order for her coffee of practical, elegant and space-saving chairs. The no. 14 chair thus became thonet's first industrial model. Its foolproof design, ergonomics and value for money will be successful in the years to come. A century and a half, five generations of thonet later, the "bistro chair", now called no. 14, is still listed in the company's catalogue and has become a true icon of the history of design. The chair is 84 cm high. The seat is 46 cm from the ground and its diameter is 40.5 cm. 2 minor defects are to be noted (see the last 2 photos): a foot has a slightly gnawed back (does not in any way gene stability) and on the back a pchard that exceeds.
