Nude female seated (a bather or nymph), arms raised behind the head in a classic pose inspired by Art Deco. The grainy texture and visible green patina on the body confirm that it is a work moulded in terracotta or stoneware, covered with a slip or a matte glaze imitating the patina of bronzes. The rough, rocky base is characteristic of sculpted works from the first third of the 20th century. The cobalt blue signature is typical of painter-decorators on earthenware or stoneware. This is therefore an authentic Art Deco sculpture in earthenware or glazed stoneware representing an allegory of youth in the form of a female nude.
