19th C Rectangular Flower and Leaf Mirror

Antique French 19th Century rectangular gold gilt mirror intricately etched with leaves and flowers and its inner rim edged with a classic 'string of pearls' motif. The mirror has its original mirror plate, showing some charming foxed spots, and wooden back cladding. The original gilt finish of the frame is nicely worn, giving it great character. The mirror frame is structurally healthy and the glass is still in a good condition. There are some minor imperfections and small areas of damage to the frame, as would be expected with a piece of this age and usage, but this does not in any way detract from its charm. This mirror can be placed both horizontally and vertically.
