We also note the magnificent absence of ornament, philosophy of the arts and crafts movement late 19th in the united states, stickley version. An outright, simple, perfect form of splendid austerity, which leaves room just for the drawing, the material and the hand of the goldsmith, without the seduction artifices of louis and empires styles, christofle's masterpieces. This rare set works well with cluny knives. 18.5 and 19cm. Use stripes. Simply extraordinary.
