Surrepos of Dr. Pascaud

Chaise longue entirely in rattan with tilting seat with articulated mechanism by wooden disc positioned on the side and rear mechanism. This chaise longue, designed by dr. Pascaud for therapeutic purposes around 1925, was the first source of inspiration for charlotte perriand's lc4 chaise longue. It is composed of a solid wood base, a rattan structure and a woven rattan filling. The original metal authentication plate with the name of the chair and the words “savoir se repos c'est continuer sa vie” is fixed to the back of the backrest. This model is in good condition (base, rattan, mechanism). One of the rattan rods of the armrest must be reattached. Small chips on rattan. The wooden disc allowing the tilt is not original, it replaces a wooden wheel (information given according to old photos).
