Set of 3 West German Fat Lava Pottery Vases

A lovely set of three rare "Fat Lava" vases—West German pottery dating from approximately the 1960s or 1970s—each marked and numbered on the base. This type of Fat Lava vase is highly sought after by collectors of vintage or West German ceramics. The two largest vases were made by Bay, while the smallest is a "Lora" vase by Scheurich. "West Germany" was essentially a collective term for ceramics marketed roughly between 1950 and 1990. Well-known names include Roth, Carstens, Ruscha, Jopeko, Jasba, and Fohr, though Scheurich and Bay were arguably the biggest players.
