A rustic and authentic charm. Discover this superb glazed earthenware vase with a generous and welcoming shape. It features a spring floral decoration (roses, pansies, and daisies) executed with great skill using a brush. The vivid colours — crimson red, ochre yellow, and violet — contrast beautifully with the whiteness of the glaze and the cobalt blue borders that highlight the neck and base. A numbered workshop piece. Proof of its handcrafted nature, the underside of the vase bears the handwritten mark "359". This type of numbering is characteristic of art pottery workshops from the mid-20th century. Although unsigned, its style evokes productions from Eastern France (Alsace) or Central Europe, highly valued for their "folkloric" and warm qualities. Circa 1960/80.
