Old wooden door with lock

Charming little waxed wooden door with a nice iron lock still functional, despite the key a little twisted. This is the door of a small low piece of furniture, confiturier type, irrecoverable to my great regret. But who will continue to live thanks to his beautiful door! Eight triangular motifs decorate this almost square door. Nice little detail: on the back side, on the back board, we notice pencil sketches, pieces of wood, including "cut views". The assembly is made with wooden turrets. Perfect for closing a small access to attics for example, or a small storage niche. It is still solid, but in its juice, with the defects of its age: stains (quite important at the back), scratches and traces various and numerous, twist holes (treated by infection of white vinegar). A larger lack on one of the corners of a triangle at the front, but that is there for a long time probably because under the wax. And an original defect I guess: a tip of one of the nails that fix the lock, which protrudes a little on the front, it's not very visible and not really annoying because it protrudes into a groove, so you can not hurt yourself with. It is 61 cm high, 59 cm wide and 2.5 cm thick. It weighs about 5 kg.
