1960s Pipe frame easy chair by Ahrend, the Netherlands

A very nice dutch design easy chair manufactured by ahrend in the netherlands around 1960. The tubular chrome plated metal frame smoothly transitions to the armrests with black bakelite finish. The structure gives it a “floating” style, which provides appeal as well as comfort to the piece. This is also complimented by the thick seat! The seat and back are newly upholstered in cream coloured ribcord fabric, fitting the piece perfectly and combining it’s modern style with a nice sense of luxury. It remains in good, vintage condition with new upholstery and minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
