Large Directoire-style sideboard dating from around 1915. This elegant mahogany veneer sideboard is appealing with its simple and harmonious lines, characteristic of the Directoire style reinterpreted in the early 20th century. It is adorned with a geometric diamond marquetry decoration on the doors, as well as original decorative bronze fittings that highlight the quality of its craftsmanship. The piece opens with four doors and offers significant storage capacity. The original locks are all functional. One key is missing, but since the keys are interchangeable, all the locks can be used normally. This piece bears an old signature, unfortunately rendered illegible over time. Beautiful quality of cabinetmaking, lovely patina, and a very attractive presence. With its generous proportions and timeless elegance, this sideboard will fit perfectly in a dining room, living room, or an interior combining antique furniture with contemporary decor. Overall good condition for its age. Note some slight signs of use, small marks, and minor surface defects related to over a century of existence, reflecting its authenticity, without affecting its overall aesthetics or functionality.
