A brilliantly executed mid-century figurative composition, executed in oil onto board. At the center of the composition stand two figures, stripped down to their fundamental essence. Painted in an abstract manner, the artist has deconstructed their forms into geometric blocks of contrasting colours, and overlaying distinct patterned lines that flow in various directions. These lines, created with confident brushstrokes, hint at movement and dynamism while simultaneously emphasising the flatness of the canvas.
