Pair of 1-light louis xvi style wall lights from lucien gau, paris - bronze

Pair of 1-light louis XVI style wall lights, from the famous french bronze maker: lucien gau. Manufacturer from faubourg saint antoine, in paris. Manufactured in the second half of the 20th century. Bronze construction. Original gilding and patina, good condition with some stains and wear to the gilding (see photos). The appliques are decorated with acanthus leaves, pearls and water leaves. They are topped with an urn. They are electrified and tested (for e14 bulb). Cardboard candles, very good condition. They are stamped on the back: lg, for lucien gau (see last photo).
