Commode Maison Regain - French manufacturing - Solid elm 1980

Large monumental chest known as "grand bahut" attributed to the Maison Regain, made of solid elm, dating from the late 1980s. This rare piece stands out for its exceptional proportions. The front features an asymmetrical arrangement of drawers with solid side posts and no visible handles. The craftsmanship is remarkable, with meticulous work on the solid wood and thick lines characteristic of high-end French furniture from this period. Inside, there are labels “Qualité Meuble – Médaille d’or 1980” and NF, certifying the quality of production. 📐 Dimensions: L 177 × H 108 × D 52 cm. Condition: good overall condition, the piece is sound and stable. Note some signs of use on the top surface as well as a coloured mark on the top/left drawer of the front, visible in the photos. These marks can be diminished with light restoration if desired.
