Very beautiful old jug in fine stoneware from the 19th century. Provenance: Saint Amand en Puisaye. Height: 27 cm. The base has an incised signature or craftsman's mark traced with a point in the still fresh clay before firing. Although partially faded by wear, the roughness and impurities of the clay reveal two slender characters or initials (potentially resembling stylised letters like an "A", "K" or workshop symbols).
