Vase with 3 handles - Gilbert Méténier - Fabrique Méténier à Gannat Art deco - art stoneware

From the beginning of the 20th century, signed g. Méténier, this important pansu vase with 3 detached handles with blue enamelled beige cover of the méténier art sandstone factory in gannat (allier/france) in good condition. Founded in 1916 by louis méténier (1844-1922), father of gilbert méténier (1876 -?) who succeeded him in 1920. The enamelling of the parts, carried out mainly with a brush, required chemical powders supplied by the rhône-poulenc factories. The art sandstones produced used the techniques of iridescent and crystallization for the decoration of the surfaces. They were often intended for wedding gifts. No cracks or sparkles.
