Mid-century McIntosh double extending dining table

Designed by Tom Robertson and patented by A.H. McIntosh in the 1960s for the Dunvegan collection, this double-extension dining table is a fine example of mid-century Scottish craftsmanship. Handcrafted in beautiful teak, it features an outstanding grain with organic shapes and gentle black streaks, giving the wood natural depth and quiet elegance. The table is equipped with two folded extension leaves, discreetly stored beneath the main top. They are easily accessed by drawing the top towards each end; the leaves unfold and lock seamlessly into place, extending the surface fluidly. Dimensions: Closed: 160 × 90 cm, height 74 cm. Each extension leaf: 38 × 90 cm. With one extension: 198 × 90 cm. Fully extended: 236 × 90 cm. RESTORATION Materials: Beautifully crafted from teakwood/ rosewood/ oakwood / beechwood. Wood Finish: All surfaces are sanded in a hand mechanic manner to avoid the use of chemical strippers and re-polished with high-quality oils to give a "good as new" professional finish. All the products used in the restoration process are environment-friendly. Construction: Joints are stress tested to ensure they are sturdy and solid.
