Produced in Denmark in the 1970s, this adjustable wall lamp by Hamalux is made of bright orange thermolacquered steel, paired with a white metal wall base. Its pivoting and perforated shade allows for the orientation and softening of light according to use, creating a subtle interplay of geometry, shadow, and diffusion. Once lit, the perforated surface projects a warm and graphic light that enlivens the wall. The design fits within the functional modernism of the era and evokes, by its principle, the wall lamp "Volet Pivotant" by Charlotte Perriand, without being an imitation. A beautiful example of Mid-Century Scandinavian design: architectural, functional, and expressive, without excess. In very good vintage condition, with slight signs of use consistent with its age.
