Elegant ovoid-shaped tea or ginger pot made of Chinese porcelain. It features a superb monochrome iron red glaze (coral colour) on which a painted decoration in fine gold depicting bamboo branches stands out. It comes with its original turned exotic wood lid. Mark: Under the base is an apocryphal mark in iron red with four characters in a double square: "同治年制" (Tongzhi Nian Zhi). Made at the end of the Qing dynasty or the beginning of the Republic period, the item most likely dates from the early 20th century (around 1900-1920). Condition: Generally in good condition. The coral glaze has retained a very nice shine. Note: some surface scratches from use on the glaze and slight wear to the gilding in places (visible in the photos), which is normal for its age. No cracks or chips on the porcelain. Dimensions: height with lid 11.5 cm, diameter 11 cm. Fast and careful shipping. I remain at your disposal for any questions or additional photos.
