The Diamond armchair is a functional sculpture designed by Harry Bertoia in 1952 for the American manufacturer Knoll. This black version from the 1960s embodies the minimalist elegance and visual lightness typical of modernist design. • Frame: The armchair’s shell is formed from a latticework of steel rods welded together, creating a geometric diamond-shaped silhouette (hence the name “Diamond”). • Finish: The metal frame is coated in black, often in Rilsan (a durable powder-coated plastic) for original Knoll models. • Legs: The tubular base is also made of black-painted steel, with plastic glides to protect the floor. • Approximate dimensions: Height 75 cm, width 85 cm, depth 75 cm (may vary slightly between editions). • Style: Airy, sculptural, at once industrial and organic – a perfect example of Bertoia’s signature “wireframe design”. In short, the Diamond Chair in light green suede would be a unique piece, combining Bertoia's iconic design with an elegant touch of color, ideal for bringing a touch of modernity and comfort to your interior.
