Large antique oak and brass wall coat rack – luggage rack style

Very beautiful antique wall coat rack in oak, particularly decorative, reminiscent of the old luggage racks in art deco train compartments. With a lovely width of 99 cm, it consists of a large central wooden panel, a hat shelf with five bars, and several patères and hooks in patinated metal with ornamental patterns. The combination of oak, antique fittings, and the very graphic structure gives it a lot of character. A piece that is both functional and decorative, ideal for an entrance, a vestibule, or a country house, and which also integrates very well into a contemporary interior, as shown in one of the photos. As the owner of a listed art deco apartment, I bought this piece to decorate the entrance next to a sumptuous period mirror. Dimensions: Width: 99 cm. Height: 42.5 cm, including fixings. Depth: 23.7 cm. The coat rack is in good antique condition, with a beautiful patina and visible signs of wear as shown in the photographs. The wall mounting system is solid. I do not know its manufacturer or exact dating, although its patina and style would suggest it was made around the 1930s. It is therefore sold as an antique/vintage coat rack in the spirit of railway furniture, without any specific attribution. Price: €390.
