Vase Marius Bessone fat lava Vallauris 1950s sea foam & enamels H 16

Rare and superb vintage vase from the Marius Bessone workshop in Vallauris (1950-1960 period). Exceptional piece, highly sought after in this flared shape and in this state of preservation. Remarkable textured work with a foamy enamel type fat lava "sea foam" in beige and brown hues, enhanced with geometric patterns and a bright red relief dot, very characteristic of the artist's work. The interior is glazed in a beautiful bright yellow. Signature: Clearly legible incised signature under the base: Bessone Vallauris and shape number.
