Pair of antique plates made of red earthenware, hand-painted, signed D. St Félix. Naïve decoration featuring polychrome roosters surrounded by blue and yellow flowers in a rustic and traditional French style. Each plate has a slightly different design, reflecting the artisanal work done by hand. Tin-glazed earthenware with a scalloped edge, showing a beautiful patina of age and slight natural crazing of the glaze on the back, characteristic of antique pieces. Painted signature on the back: D. St Félix. Dimensions: diameter 23.5 cm X 2.5 cm. Condition: generally good for their age, with some visible signs of wear (see photos).
