Rare 17th century bodyguard, entirely forged. Balcony barrier or railing typical of the classical art of the time. The work is made up of flat irons assembled on the edge by rivets and collars. The designs follow a symmetry, with baluster-shaped motifs with at their centers a pistil sprouting from a leaf inscribed in a massive square section frame decorated with flower and cord. Dimensions: l: 147.7cm, h: 52.7cm, thickness: 4cm condition: very good general state of conservation, no missing or broken.
