This superb vase is made of light blue bubbled glass. It is a pretty flared vase in the modernist style typical of the 1960s and 70s. It is mouth-blown using a craft technique characteristic of biot glassworks. At the base, you can see the trace of the breakage of the cane to blow the glass. Biot bubbled glass has existed since 1956, when glassmakers succeeded in creating bubbled glass: by controlling the bubble, trapping it between two layers of glass, thus making a defect a quality. Between tradition and creation, each biot glassworks is unique, because it is mouth-blown by master glassmakers. Depending on the season, the products come in all colors: sand pink, lime, amethyst, persian blue, amber... Pastel and sparkling colors at the same time. In good condition, this vase measures 26.5 cm in height and 17 cm in diameter. It is heavy and stable. I did not see a legible signature.
