Large lamp 80 cm Japanese palace scene

Chinese-style table lamp, likely dating from the 1970s. The rectangular base with cut corners is made of beige composite, resting on a moulded octagonal plinth. The main face is adorned with a circular medallion depicting an Asian landscape inspired by the 'Blue Willow' pattern: pagodas, weeping willows, a bridge, flying birds, and figures in a boat, executed in shades of brown and gold on an ivory background. A shiny gold cylindrical stem connects the base to the pagoda-shaped lampshade made of ivory fabric with a metal frame, whose slightly concave sides end in truncated corners characteristic of the style. The overall condition is good. The lampshade shows some light signs of use. The wiring is original, equipped with a vintage inline switch – in perfect condition. Dimensions: height 80 cm, width 48 cm, depth 32 cm. Weight: 5.
