Technical sheet. * Style / Period: Neo-baroque (Historicism / taste of Danzig), circa 1870-1880. * Material (exterior): Oak veneered structure with solid oak elements. * Material (interior / built): Internal frame in solid poplar and alder. * Finish: Hand-applied wax; subtly adjusted tint during restoration to enhance the grain. * Dimensions: Height 200 cm|Width 101 cm|Depth 64.5 cm (shelf depth: 32.5 cm). Description and condition. Neo-baroque display cabinet on a table base (type low buffet / showcase), made in the traditional style of Danzig (GdaĆsk) furniture from the late 19th century. The upper body is characterised by massive proportions, deep mouldings, and sculpted door panels, typical of this historicist movement in Central Europe. The cabinet rests on a table base of great stability, forming a coherent architectural ensemble. To facilitate handling and transport, the structure is divided into two distinct parts (the upper body and its table base). This piece has undergone a complete and specialised restoration in cabinetmaking. The structure is perfectly sound, rigid, and stable. The original lock is functional, complete with its key. The hand-applied wax finish highlights the natural pattern of the oak, with depth optimised by a slight harmonisation of the hue during conservation work. The cabinet is clean and ready to be installed.
