8 antique plates FF Pexonne – Country Decor circa 1900

8 flat plates from the FF Pexonne ironstone, "Campagne" model, with a deep blue printed decoration on a slightly ivory background. Each plate features a different composition, consisting of three pastoral scenes arranged in the basin. The illustrations evoke rural life: farm animals, birds, landscapes, village houses, flowers, and details of ancient architecture. Some motifs appear on several plates but in different combinations, giving each its own decoration. The rim is highlighted by a continuous frieze of small flowers and foliage. Rectangular stamp CAMPAGNE FF PEXONNE, with the letter F embedded in the clay: The Lorraine factory founded in 1720, the Fénal Frères pottery in Pexonne registered these marks in 1897. These plates were likely made around 1900. Diameter: 23 cm. In beautiful vintage condition, with some micro-scratches from use. 5 plates have two or three small patina spots. One plate has a chip underneath and another has a tiny chip on the edge (see photos). Eight decorations, eight stories to tell: the charm of yesteryear elegantly awakens today's tables.
