Table lamp in ultra chamotte black stoneware (40%), slip and jute rope. The base is shaped using the coiling technique and has been scraped to highlight the chamotte before being covered with slips of various light clays for a textured effect. As I love raw and textured materials and aim for the most natural practice possible, I do not use glazes (except for the inside of my bottles). My ceramic creations, which are unglazed, are only fired once at high temperatures (1200°). The metal frame of the lampshade is made by a small French workshop I collaborate with. I have covered it with natural jute rope that perfectly complements the very raw base. The textile electric cable (jute), the black bakelite socket (E27), the pull switch, and the plug have been assembled by me and come from an Italian manufacturer. This table lamp provides a soft and particularly warm light. Unique piece. It is part of the LUZ Project, born from my desire to help, in my own way, the Moroccan animal shelter from which our dog named Luz ("light" in Spanish and "almond" in Arabic) comes, and from my wish to create lamps in ceramic and natural materials. 10% of the sale price of each lamp is donated to the shelter. Total height: 44 cm. Height of lamp base: 23 cm. Diameter of lamp base: 18 cm. Height of lampshade: 17 cm. Diameter of lampshade: 35 cm. Bulb not included.
