Flat plate from the french earthenware factory gien, "pont aux choux" service which refers to the factory created in 1748 and built on old ditches that had become market gardens where cabbages were grown. It was in 1819 that the gien manufacture acquired pont-aux-choux and its iconic “grain of rice” table service. In ecru-colored enameled earthenware, the plate is scalloped, decorated with scrolls and the iconic “grain of rice” motif. Struck on the back, the stamp allows us to date the set between the 1960s and 1970s. In perfect condition since no chips or cracks are noted, this plate with its timeless lines will bring a vintage touch to your table.
