Vintage Industrial Tripod Stool with Rounded Wooden Black Seat. Vintage Industrial Bench.

For me, visiting warehouses of old industrial plants is always very challenging. First of all because of their architecture, but also and above all because of the collection that they keep, that they use, that they maintain today. It is usually in this industrial universe, sometimes already obsolete, that I find the rarest, most interesting and unique pieces. Pieces that, de-contextualized and placed in another spatial universe or reality, take on another life and make those spaces much more interesting too, with unique decorations. This industrial bench came precisely from an old industrial tyre factory. It was a stool used next to the rubber working machines and also as a leisure, resting bench. It has the fixed measurements, I think normal, for a bench. The structure is tubular metal, thin, painted white. This structure is welded in the middle of the base, creating the tripod effect (see photos). The seat is round wooden seat which is fixed to the frame by screws. It is painted black on the top and white on the bottom, in accordance with the iron structure. Despite its wear this stool is in good vintage condition. But as the photos show, this stool has a lot of wear and tear on the painting, the structure is very rusty, with many paint flaws and also with old dirt stains. In fact we can see in one of the photos that the feet have corroded from so much rust and so much use (see detail photos). So we can also see that the frame tube is hollow, it is open, so it is a light seat. The seat is also with many flaws in the black paint and we can even see the red color of the interior. The wood itself at the base has the normal cracks of antiquity. As I said it is a very used bench with a lot of patina. For those who appreciate this kind of industrial design, for sure you'll have here a beautiful object, always very current, with enough charisma to make a decoration even more interesting.
