This rare Swedish folk art stoneware pitcher or vase was crafted by Andersson & Johansson for Höganäs in Sweden during the 1920s. It features a striking brown body with cream-white decoration and a strong modernist shape, giving it a dynamic and sculptural appearance. The vase is stamped 'AJ Höganäs' underneath, a mark used between 1920-1958. Designed by John Andersson, who became artistic director in 1924, this piece reflects his distinct personal style and is represented in the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm and Helsingborg's museum. Dimensions: Height 22 cm, Diameter 15 cm. Condition: Good, with wear consistent with age and use. There is a small chip in the glaze on the vase's mouth, which does not detract from its overall charm and character.
