This charming glazed ceramic set in the shape of a cabbage comes from Portugal, from the F. Mendes factory in Caldas (with an impressed signature underneath each piece). It consists of a bowl and a plate, and this set can serve as a soup bowl or as an original container for presenting a sauce or dried fruits for an aperitif. It is finely crafted and features beautiful colours in soft green tones, with a very successful illusion. It likely dates from the 1960s and is in very good condition, with no cracks, chips, or scratches, just a few marks underneath on the circles that form the bases and a small "bubble" burst in the glazing of the bowl, which is an original "defect." The plate measures approximately 21.5 cm in diameter and 3 cm in maximum height, while the bowl measures 15 cm in maximum diameter and 7 cm in height.
