Summary. Small asymmetrical Art Deco lowboard from France, circa 1930. High-gloss black piano lacquer exterior with polished stainless-steel/chrome fittings. Walnut interior; inner face of the door finished in lacquered cherry wood. Right side includes two open quarter-circle compartments. Design. Streamlined 1930s profile with a rectilinear left section and a semicylindrical rounded right end. Continuous chrome banding across the front and chamfered chrome trim wrapping the curved corner. Central seam with small round chrome knobs and a chrome-plated knob with snapping ball lock. Materials. Lacquered wood body with walnut and cherry veneers on the interior. Polished stainless-steel/chrome trims and hardware. Backside stained black for a consistent finish. Dimensions. Height: 60 cm. Width (length): 91 cm. Depth: 37.5 cm. Origin.
