Vase in earthenware from Kari Christensen's Tenera series for Aluminia

The Tenera series was designed in the 1960s by Nils Thorsson (1898-1975) for Aluminia, whose name disappeared in 1969 to make way for Royal Copenhagen. The motifs in this series were designed by other artists. Thus, the very graphic blue decoration of this earthenware vase is due to the Norwegian artist Kari Christensen (1938-1997). This vase, in perfect condition, is signed under the base, initials of Kari Christensen, the number of its décor, 429 and its shape, 3114. The cross under the "R" of Denmark, indicates its production date, 1968.
