Large ancient jar in glazed terracotta

🚚 Please contact me in advance for a delivery cost estimate. 🚚 Magnificent antique jar handcrafted from glazed terracotta, typical of Provençal productions from the late 19th century. Of a beautiful size (height 70 cm – diameter 57 cm), it features a generous shape with a rounded belly and wide neck, adorned with four rustic handles shaped by hand. Its surface boasts a superb period patina, blending ochre, honey, brown, and greenish hues, highlighted by iridescent reflections on the upper part. The lower part, remaining matte, shows traces of moss and natural wear, attesting to its age and history. 🟤 Note: an old crack at the neck, perfectly stable and without impact on the jar's strength or aesthetics (visible in the photos).
