Office chair "Jano" by Kazuhide Takahama for Cassina, 1970s A classic of 1970s design. Designed by Japanese designer Kazuhide Takahama (1930-2010) and published by Cassina in the Gavina line, the Jano model combines a highly elegant chrome metal structure with a comfortable seat and backrest. It has been covered in a thick Nobilis boucle fabric, giving it a softness and contemporary feel. Graphic silhouette, sled base: all the refinement of the office of the time, with the comfort of a true working chair for everyday use. Based in Italy, Takahama designed some of the most streamlined pieces of post-war design for Gavina, Simon, and then Cassina. The Jano is a beautiful example: a simple, almost architectural line that transcends decades without aging. It will fit well in both an office and as an occasional chair in a contemporary interior. Dimensions: W. 62 x D. 50 x H. 74 cm, seat height 48 cm. Condition: very good vintage condition. Covered in new thick Nobilis boucle fabric. Very slight scratches on the chrome base. Sound structure. REF CH2358.
