Beautiful articulated desk lamp by Jean Boris Lacroix from the 50s. Dimensions H40 X W20 X D16. This desk lamp is quite emblematic of his refined designs. A tricorn base, with switch, a flexible stem in gilded brass on a ball joint, which makes the reflector adjustable, and an asymmetrical lampshade in yellow lacquered grained metal, this is one of his most famous models among his many creations. Mainly known for his work on metal lighting, Jean Boris Lacroix (1902-1984) was a designer, architect and artistic director of the Madeleine Vionnet house. In 1927, he exhibited the first furniture and lighting designs he designed at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs. From the art deco style, he would evolve in the 1950s towards modernism, which would make him recognized for the geometric rigor of his models. The electrification has been completely revised, the lamp works perfectly with a bayonet bulb, some traces of wear see photos.
