Set of 2 large shelves in brass, aluminum and wood, Italy, 1957

Two "S2" bookcases in anodized gilded aluminum, brass and wood by FEAL (Fonderie Elettriche Alluminio e Leghe), Italy, 1957. These shelves have been built intelligently. The shelves are adjustable by moving them up or down and snapping them in. The brass is very dominant and contrasts beautifully with the brown wood that has aged very nicely over the years. Beautiful details such as the screws and the round brass crossbar make these wonderful shelves an enrichment for any interior. Luxurious and practical and very hard to find... The shelves can be used separately but you can also decide to combine them and make shelves of 4 uprights attached to each other. A total of 16 shelves are available, so we can think of 5, then 6 in the middle, then 5 again, it all depends a little on what we are going to store there. If they are books, I would leave them as they are, but if they are superior ceramics or other works of art for example, you can decide to make 3 parts of them.
