Old oil on canvas painting signed: return from fishing

This large vintage painting depicts a scene captured in the suspended moment after fishing: On the rocky shore, a figure bent under a straw hat patiently repairs their nets — ancestral gestures, ochre and blood-red fabrics intertwined on the bleached quay. The turquoise sea crashes against the rocks in the background. The painter J.L. Beristain signed this canvas in January 1976. A post-impressionist work, offset by its bird's-eye view framing, with a distinctly expressionist touch. Framed in a beautiful dark wood frame with deep mouldings, ready to hang.
