Double headboard – Louis XVI style – Lacquered wood & Rattan caning

Louis XVI style bed set comprising a headboard, a matching footboard, and two side rails, in off-white/grey lacquered wood. The head and foot panels are adorned with natural cane made from hand-woven rattan, featuring a tight hexagonal pattern. The frame exhibits typical Louis XVI characteristics: tapered fluted legs, carved rosettes at the corners of the posts, cavetto mouldings framing the panels, and a lower arched top with recessed corners. Work from the early 20th century in the Louis XVI style. The painted finish shows a patinated wear consistent with the age of the piece; cleaning is required. An inventory number (S10468) is chalked on the back, indicating it has passed through an auction house or consignment. General condition: visible wear, no interventions reported by the seller. Headboard dimensions: H. 115 cm – W. 150 cm. Weight: 30 kg. Delivery not included.
