Wooden wall lamp, in the style of Charles Dudouyt, year
Elegant antique wall sconce made of turned and carved solid wood, stained brown, featuring a particularly architectural composition. The large worked wall plate supports a significant horizontal turned arm, rhythmically accented by a succession of geometric volumes. This arm ends with a cubic element topped by a wide circular wooden bobeche. With its powerful shapes, turning work, and neo-rustic aesthetic, this sconce strongly evokes French furniture from the 1940s-1950s, particularly the world of Charles Dudouyt. In the absence of a signature or documented provenance, it is cautiously presented as a piece in the style of Charles Dudouyt. Dimensions: H 22 × W 9 × D 22 cm. Very good overall condition. Beautiful old patina with some marks and signs of use consistent with its age. Old metal socket. Electrification tested and functional. Sold without bulb or lampshade. A particularly decorative character piece, ideal for a neo-rustic, modernist, Art Deco, or brutalist interior.
