Anthropomorphic vase in terracotta Popular art

This anthropomorphic terracotta vase is distinguished by its stylised face on the neck and its two large side handles. Raw anthropomorphism: The face located on the neck of the vase is reduced to its most basic features (a linear relief nose and two small horizontal incisions for the eyes). Associated with the feminine attributes modelled on the belly (the breasts), this treatment directly evokes ancient cult pottery and primitive art. African popular art. Chips are visible in the photos. Height 35cm.
