Lamp Fase Madrid GEI 80s

Sensational desk lamp - or table lamp by GEI (Gabinete Estudios Industriales). This Spanish company obtained a manufacturing license from Fase Madrid in the 70s or 80s. One of their creations is this lamp, which is inspired by the famous Fase Falux lamp, which is also in my shop. This particular lamp however has a plus 80's look. It has a metal base painted in gray, combined with a brushed aluminum lampshade. The original diffuser - made of flat glass, while Fase lamps have a more curved diffuser - is included and intact. The lampshade houses 4 ordinary bulbs 4 E14. Above the lampshade are 2 switches, so you can turn on 2 sets of lamps separately. The lamp is of course fully functional and in good vintage condition. It has some small bursts of paint, see photos. ABOUT GEI AND FASE MADRID Much has been said about the lamps of the Spanish manufacturer Fase. And rightly so, because these lamps are really spectacular. While making such fabulous lamps, Fase thought it would be a good idea to focus on halogen lighting in the 80s. A decision that turned out to be the beginning of the end, as Fase filed for bankruptcy shortly afterwards. Before closing shop, Fase sold manufacturing licenses to companies like Ma-OF (German) and GEI. All these lamps are rare and increasingly sought after. You can see them in many Hollywood movies and TV productions. Fase Madrid lamps are appreciated by collectors because of their contemporary design. In 100 years, these lamps will still look modern in every home. Dimensions: 40 cm high, lampshade with a diameter of about 29 cm.
