Painting by Raoul UBAC - handwritten signature - modern work on tracing paper - 1970

Work entitled: "Les Labours et sillons de la terre" Hello I am offering an authentic print on tracing paper (rare) by Raoul UBAC (1910-1985), in perfect condition and particularly representative of his finest period. This work with handwritten signature is from his last period from the 1960s. It was during these years that he produced paintings on panels covered with amalgamated resins representing a synthesis around his favorite theme of "the labors and furrows of the earth". He continued this theme until his death. In 1968 a retrospective of his work was presented in Brussels and at the Museum of Modern Art in the city of PARIS. Raoul UBAC, poet, photographer and painter, received the Grand Prix National des Arts in France in 1973 for his entire body of work. The works of Raoul UBAC are present in many museums in France and around the world. He is one of the most recognized and respected artists of the 20th century. After information taken from 2 experts, this work could be unique because it is mentioned to the left of the signature "1st state", no other copy seems to exist or referenced. Research will have to be done on the possible multiplicity of this work. Raoul UBAC very often represented this theme for 25 years, a theme that is easily found in bound art books, postage stamps, first day covers, posters, engravings etc. The last photo was taken with a powerful UV lamp and represents the signature. An estimate from a Parisian auction house is also in the attached photo. A sturdy frame that has been restored with innovative colors has 3 particularities: a gray coating sometimes almost transparent of the imitation whitewash type has been applied revealing in an irregular way a yellow background on visible wood veins giving a relief effect (see photo n°5). This ready-to-hang frame gives a very beautiful harmony of colors in keeping with the work for a general "shades of gray" atmosphere.
