An iconic piece from bygone eras, these 1950s notary cabinets embody both the understated elegance and functionality characteristic of professional furniture of the time. Completely and meticulously restored, they now serve as unique decorative elements, ideal for adding character, storage, and a touch of authenticity to your home. Materials: Oak fronts and solid pine frame. Features: These notary cabinets, also known as minute books, each consist of three columns of twelve rows, providing 72 storage compartments closed by a door fitted with a silver-plated metal knob. The knobs, all the same shape and size, exhibit slight variations due to their original manufacture, contributing to the piece's authenticity. Renovation: The notary cabinets were thoroughly cleaned and then treated with a protective oil, which restored the luster to the patinated varnish on the fronts. The restoration work was carried out with respect for the original materials and aesthetic. Condition: Solid and heavy, these notary cabinets are in superb condition with some normal signs of wear for their age. All the doors close properly, as any faulty hinges have been replaced or repaired. Dimensions: W124 x D29.5 x H233.5 cm. Compartments: W35 x D28.5 x H18 cm. These notary cabinets, whether used individually or together (they were previously screwed together), are a rare piece, both decorative and practical, that will easily find their place in a living room, office, entryway, or workshop. Their retro charm, quality craftsmanship, and excellent condition make them an ideal choice for lovers of carefully restored antique furniture.
