Houillon desk lamp, adjustable model ÉCLAIR no. 22 — 1930

Adjustable lamp model ÉCLAIR no. 22, designed by Eugène Émile Houillon, mechanic and inventor of adjustable lighting, founder of the ÉCLAIR brand. Born in Nancy in 1900, Houillon developed an innovative steel ball joint system applied to a range of chic industrial lamps from the 1930s onwards. Double articulated arms in chrome metal, adjustable dome shade in aluminium, "socket wrench" joints with original rubber tubes guiding the wiring, black Bakelite socket, weighted moulded round base. Registered model. Original wiring functional — re-wiring recommended before prolonged use. Authentic patina of use on the base. H 59 cm — W 40 cm — Base Ø 21 cm — Shade H 15 cm Ø 21.5 cm.
