A stunning and extremely rare pair of mirror wall sconces in solid gilded bronze, featuring an oval mirror set with pearls as the central element of the sconce. The antique gold finish adds depth, shadows, and light. The lower part is adorned with a sculpted leaf element that could serve as a handle. Illuminated by two lights supported by two scroll arms, it exudes a beautiful sense of symmetry. The lights rest on flared bobèches, also sculpted in leaves, echoing the design at the bottom of the mirror. The fine pearl collar surrounding them also gracefully and delicately recalls that of the mirror. This remarkable piece is crafted using the most traditional methods in France, in the workshops of Lucien GAU. Dimensions: Height: 34 cm, Width: 24 cm, Projection: 14 cm. Light source: two standard E14 screw bulbs, preferably frosted flame type. The LD marking on the back is faint but present, indicating Lucien Gau.
