Antique wooden bedside table, made by Manufrance in Saint Étienne in the first half of the 20th century. This folding tray, both simple and ingenious, was designed to accompany moments of rest. It allows for reading, writing, or having a meal in bed comfortably, thanks to its foldable legs and generous size. In the centre, an adjustable support holds a book or notebook. It is removable and can be taken out to use the tray freely. The whole piece has a beautiful, warm, and even patina. The folding mechanism is particularly well-crafted and pleasant to handle. The original Manufrance badge is still present under the tray. Some signs of wear are visible, consistent with its age and use. A piece that is both useful and decorative, in a family home spirit, ideal for creating a reading nook in a bedroom or living room.
