Green onyx table lamp & gilded brass acanthus claws 1960s

Translucent green onyx table lamp with white and brown veining, turned in the shape of a pear-shaped vase. Italian or French production style from the 1950s-1970s. The junction elements and the seat cushion are made of gilded brass, finely chiseled with leaf-like acanthus motifs. The base is a matching onyx disc, encircled with brass, resting on three claw feet made of brass — a carefully crafted neo-classical inspired set. The conical lampshade in ivory/beige fabric with double silver trim is original. It has a stain and some light soiling. The whole piece shows a patina consistent with its age: slight oxidation of the brass, remnants of felt under the base. Sold as is, this lamp remains decorative and functional.
