Information: original 4-color poster from the retrospective exhibition "calder's circus" (1926-931) organized at the whitney museum of american art, new york, april 20-june 11, 1972. This famous set of 55 pieces was loaned permanent at the whitney by calder in 1970 and the circus is now part of the collections of the new york institution. In france, it was presented at the center pompidou in paris from march 18 to july 20, 2009. Reference: a copy of this poster original appears in the moma inventory under no. 432.1976.
